@Solla-topee The camera has the latest firmware. It does this no matter where I set it up, even in another residence. I have a white version that does just fine. Since I don't want 2 brands, I tried purchasing another black camera to go in the location on a black shelf, and when setting it up with the internet it seemed fine, for the 2 minutes I listened. Then I did the firmware update, shut it down, and moved it to my Mom's room. Plugged it in and it was back to all the chirping/clicking, on this new black C120! No matter what the volume is set at. So I moved it to another location to test it, and to another house and internet altogether, and it does the same. And not just with one of the cables - they are both doing it! It made me think I should not have done the firmware update, so on one of them I reset to factory settings. It didn't help. They were both brand new cameras, they aren't dirty, it makes no sense. I don't want a white camera in that location or I would just stick to the white ones.
And of course I'm not wild about the audio quality on either, in the sense that they all filter out so much of the background noise that I can't hear what I want to hear. If my mom plays the piano, I just hear little clinks of the notes. I can hardly tell what the song would be. And there is no way to control how much it filters. So the Blink I had used was very noisy with the background noise, and the Tapo filters out too much, but at least with the Blink I could hear what was being said or what music was being played, etc.
So if there is no fix for the issues with the black Tapos I have, I may have to look at something else. I like everything else about the cameras, so I was really hoping there would be some kind of fix.
