Model: KC420WS
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

My home wifi changed. The camera is blinking alternatively orange and green after doing a reset, which the instructions say it should. Then when I go to the app and follow the instructions (multiple times including unplugging the camera and plugging it back in), I still can't re-connect. The model name says: KC420WS.

Hi,
Please press the reset button on the camera for 10 seconds to perform a factory reset, then try to reconfigure the camera. You can refer to the following instructions to troubleshoot if you fail to configure your camera.
What should I do if I fail to configure the Kasa Cam?

If the instructions do not work, please let me know which step you got stuck on during configuration, and please list the troubleshooting you did.

Best Regards

Thanks for your reply. I already did the reset you instructed to perform. Prior to pushing the reset button, the camera was blinking red. After hitting the reset button, the camera started to flash green and orange, which I read would happen. After that I followed all the instructions via the app. I've done this more than once, and still no connection. Elliott

Hi,
Do you see any error messages during configuration? If so, please let me know what error you encountered.

If you can go through all the setup steps as instructed,  but have a flashing red light after configuration, please confirm the following information.

  1. What's the model number of your router? Do you have internet when connecting to your router's 2.4G Wi-Fi?
  2. How far is the router from the camera? Please move them close if possible, and check if the camera will work after configuration.
  3. You can enable a hotspot Wi-Fi on your phone, factory reset the camera, configure it with another phone, connect it to the hotspot Wi-Fi, and then check if you can set it up successfully.

Best Regards
