Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

- I have a proper router connected to the ISP, used for DHCP and Default GW

- To that router comnects a 32 ethernet port dumb switch.

- to that switch there are 9 ArcherAX72, AX72Pro, AX73 and the new AXE75 routers  all running in AP mode, advertising the same SSID with the same password and running on different wifo channels.

It works.. okayish.

Except when one moves around a lot. The phones dont want to change routers with a stronger signal.

How can I solve this.. currently when this happens one has to put the phone to flight mode temporarily to force connection to the stronger AP.

I shouldn't need one-mesh for that. Cam I somehow configure the routers to kick off clients when signal is too weak? Or change the threshodld somehow

Hello @Julika1789 ,

Welcome to our community.

Network roaming is more determined by the clients themselves, not by distance alone.

If possible, could you try creating an EasyMesh Network for these routers? This might improve the situation.

How to Build an Ethernet Backhaul Using Two EasyMesh Routers

Best Regards.

  @Joseph-TP

Hi, Joseph.

- Multiple APs, same SSID (users don't choose, thats the idea of a large wireless network)

- EasyMesh is not supported in AP mode. Ive tried disabling NAT and DHCP in Router mode but i just lock myself out. It seems that is is not supportef.

Any other suggestions?

My question relates to how APs are configured in business environments. APs can be configured to kick devicess off when a signal quality is low, and i am able to set the treshold.

Hello @Julika1789 ,

Thanks for getting back to me.

Simply setting the SSIDs of the routers to the same doesn't meet the roaming requirements for a mesh network. This relies more on the phone's signal source selection, so we don't have any more appropriate recommendations at this time.

In addition, the router models you mentioned are all designed for home use.
For commercial environments, we recommend considering our specialized business products.

Best Regards.
