Model: Tapo C210
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.0.14

When no loud sounds are present, the audio is crackling like static while cutting in and out. When a loud sound is detected such as a passing car, the audio sounds like it was recorded underwater inside of a fishbowl. The camera is mounted just above our garage and even people talking out at the street is unintelligible. As it currently sits, the audio from this camera is mostly useless. This happens in live view as well as downloaded recordings. I'm running the camera on wifi with an SD card for local storage. The microphone and speaker settings are at max levels.

I read about tech support pushing a firmware update with the noise cancelling feature either reduced or deactivated. If anyone has received this modified firmware, did it help the audio quality? I noticed that if I turn the microphone off and back on then the audio is crystal clear for about five seconds but then slowly fades back to static.
