Solution Archer AX50: 160MHz Channel Width on 5GHz Missing After Updating Firmware to 1.1.1
Hey Archer AX50 Users,
A Pre-Release Firmware for the Archer AX50 was recently made available, which introduced enhanced Parental Control options and more.
This update provided significant quality enhancements, optimizations, and new features, and is generally recommended as an update to Archer AX50 users. However, we have received feedback from several users that the 160 MHz channel width option for the 5 GHz Wi-Fi band is no longer available after updating their routers to this Pre-Release Firmware. After receiving this feedback, our teams promptly identified the cause, and our R&D Team has released a beta firmware to address this unexpected behavior directly.
Applies to:
Archer AX50_V1_1.1.1 Build 20250917
Phenomenon:
After updating the Archer AX50 V1 to Pre-Release Firmware 1.1.1 Build 20250917, the 160 MHz channel width option for the 5 GHz Wi-Fi band may no longer be visible in the router settings.
Available Solution:
For users who require 160 MHz channel width operation in the router's 5 GHz Wi-Fi band, please download and manually install the Beta Firmware below, then test whether this resolves the unexpected behavior.
