Model: Archer AX1800
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 1.1.3 Build 20250904 Rel. 60739(5553)

Hello All,

I have had a previous AX1800 and it lasted just fine for a bit over a year, but it need to be replaced due to failure. So I have it bridged with a Xfinity Router, the main Issue I am having is Just on any WIFI Device the Speeds have dropped to 1 - 2 Mbps when on Ethernet I am getting 500 - 750Mbps on any device. I have done all the reccomend steps that I found like disabling QoS/Smart Connect, the router placement has not moved at all.

Thanks for the Help,
Justin

Hello @Justin8667 ,

Welcome to our community.

Have you tried to hard reset the router and reconfigure it for a try? Here are some suggestions that may help you:

  • Go to Advanced > Wireless Settings and try changing the 5GHz Wi-Fi channel to avoid interference. Test different channels to find the best one for your environment.
  • Go to Advanced > NAT Forwarding > UPNP and disable UPNP. Also, go to Advanced > Security and disable SIP ALG, as these features can sometimes affect Wi-Fi performance.
  • Compare with the guest network, and test if the speed is normal when clients are connected to the guest network.

If it doesn't help, please contact local support for additional assistance.
