Tuesday
Model: Archer AX1500
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.3.5 Build 20241211 rel.34816

ihave 2 ax1500 archer routers along with an re705x configured in easymesh.

I have a UGREEN dh2300 nas connected via Ethernet to the satellite ax1500 router. No matter what I do it only shows up in the router management as a wireless device even though it can only connect via a wired connection. I have tried this far:

- restarting the satellite router

- restarting the main router

- restarting the NAS

- shutting off and turning on the NAS

- reseating the Ethernet cable on both the NAS and router

- seating the Ethernet cable into a different port on the router

it seems like this is a common issue, so I hope there's an easy solution for it. Even in Tether it shows up as a 5Ghz wireless connection but there's no signal strength icon next to it like the other connected devices.

Hello @Meh_jim ,

Welcome to our community.

May I confirm the model of your routers? As far as I know, 1.3.5 Build 20241211 rel.34816 should be the firmware for Archer AX55.

Have you created the EasyMesh Network via wireless backhaul between the main router and satellite router? Are other wired devices connected to the Satellite router being properly recognized as wired connections?

  • Please try switching to Ethernet backhaul.
  • Please connect the NAS to the main router for comparison.
  • Also, please ensure the NAS is connected only via a wired connection.

Best Regards.

Correct they're ax55 archer routers utilizing wireless backhaul in an easy mesh configuration. There are other devices connected via Ethernet which are showing up correctly as wired within the management UI, it's just the NAS that is not. I have confirmed the NAS is only connected via Ethernet. It does not have a WiFi adapter to connect wirelessly.
