Floodlight on one C720 turns on at dusk magically
I recently purchased four C720 floodlight cameras for my home. All four are working well. However, on most evenings one of the C720’s lights turn on at dusk and stay on. The other three never do this. The moment I enter the Tapo App (without choosing any device to view), the floodlight on that C720 turns itself off. It appears that the act of the app querying the C720 causes it to correct the issue with the lights being on. If I do a soft reset of the camera from the app, the problem will go away for a couple of days and then reappear.
Do you have any idea of what might be causing this and or how to resolve it?
Other useful information:
- The C720 has the latest firmware 1.4.2 loaded on it.
- This C720 is literally 18 inches from another C720 (back-to-back) which is working properly, so it’s not likely a Wi-Fi issue.
- The Auto Off Timer is set to Off
- The Auto On Settings are set to Left, Middle Right, and Camera Detection is On with motion, people, and pets
- Extended On Time is set to 1 min
- The Light On Schedule is set to Off.
- When the app is started, the floodlights go out and stay out until an actual event occurs (one of the three above), which usually doesn’t happen for the remainder of the night. But if it does, the floodlights stay on for 1 minute only
Thank you!
