Continuous Recording on C210

Continuous Recording on C210

I signed up for Tapo Care to monitor one small area in one room (this is for cats).  I set it to motion detection,  specified the area, and I got tons of 16-20 sec clips instead of one (or several) longer videos.

I thought I would avoid that if I used a micro SD card, so I set that up.  I did not choose motion detection, because I want to record that particular area, whether there is motion or not - as long as the SD card will hold.  When I chose continuous recording instead of motion detection, nothing recorded on the SD card.

What am I doing wrong - or is there is there no way to for this camera to record continuously without getting a bunch of small clips?

Hi,
The Tapo C210 supports continuous video recording after inserting an SD card. In your situation, please refer to the instructions below to check if your storage settings are correct.
How can I store the Tapo camera video recordings on a microSD card

If the same phenomenon persists, please confirm the following information.
  1. What are the SD card's model number and capacity?
  2. Please send me the screenshots of the camera's Device Settings > Storage & Recording page, Local Storage page, and Recording Schedule page for checking.
  3. On the camera's Live View > Playback & Download > Playback > SD card page, can you watch any video recordings? Please send us a screenshot of the Playback > SD card page.

Best Regards
