I think I'm having a problem with my doorbell when it's bitter cold.

It went to zero during first 0⁰ temps.

Three days of a cold snap and it only went to 3% during charging. Temp went up to 40's and 100% charge. Now that it's bitter cold it's started all over again.

Also, it seems to go offline when it's very cold. Like right now, it's 14 and been offline all afternoon. Was on earlier.

Am I just imagining this? Would these batteries and Wi-Fi have issues with subzero temps?

For reference, the doorbell is under a  porch, not out on the open.

Hi,
According to the camera's specifications on our official website, it operates between -20℃ and 45℃.

In your situation, please confirm the following information for analysis.

  1. Have you powered on the doorbell camera with the power adapter and cord or solar panel?

  2. Usually, you can refer to the instructions below to troubleshoot if your camera keeps going offline.
What should I do if my Tapo smart device keeps losing connection or going offline?

  3. What's the LED status on the doorbell camera when it goes offline in the Tapo app? When placing your phone near the doorbell camera, can it connect to your router's Wi-Fi and have a good signal?

  4. How do you recover the connection?

Best Regards

It started working again when the temp rose. It will not work in the Sub-Zero temp. Battery will die.
