Keep Track of Who Visits Your Home from Your Hub-Connected Cameras with Facial Recognition

Facial Recognition Report

The Tapo H500 automatically generates real-time facial recognition reports, displaying the frequency of familiar and stranger faces over a specific period.

For each recognized individual, it is possible to view the times and frequencies of their appearance over a selected date range.

 

Stranger and Familiar Recognition Notifications

You can set separate notification options for when a camera recognizes a person and the cameras for which you would like notifications to be triggered.

 

For People Recognized as Familiars: You can select who you would like notifications for, and what cameras you would like to send the notification.

 

For Strangers: You can select the cameras you would like to receive notifications for. A notification will be set whenever a set number of strangers are detected.

 

Turning off Facial Recognition will disable identifications of the stranger and familiar faces within the camera's view

 

Detection Zones – By Default, the entire view of the camera is monitored. If you only need to monitor activities in a certain area or need to avoid a specific zone, you can set a custom detection zone in the app.

How many devices can use AI empowerment or Facial Recognition features at the same time?

It supports adding up to 6 cameras to be empowered by H500.

Which models support Face Recognition feature?

Can the Face Recognition feature still work when the hub and the camera are in local only mode?

Yes, Face Recognition is based on local AI inside the H500, so it can work even when the hub and camera are offline.
