Can KS200 smart switch connect to wifi without a load wire in the e-box?
I have an application need where I would like to control another Kasa switch (KS200) with an additional KS200 in a box location that does not have a load wire.
My thinking may be flawed but it seemed reasonable that if I could get the 2nd KS200 to come onto my wifi , I could link it to my existing Kasa switch or even use a Google Home automation script to allow the 2nd switch to turn on the same light as the primary switch. Why? The primary Kasa switch is in the garage and controls outside wall sconces.
I have room in a box inside the house and would like to turn those same wall sconces from inside the house but there is no load wire in the box..
I have nuetral wires inside all my boxes.
I tried both not connecting one of the Load/Line black wires and also connecting both of them together. I can't get a flashing orange/green light to connect to wifi.
there is a strong wifi connection in the area.
Sure would solve a lot of issues if that could work?
Thanks for any guidance/input.
