If you are looking to have your clips stored in the cloud from the app, you would need a Tapo Care subscription - otherwise, you should be able to see the clips that are recorded directly to the camera from anywhere. If you cannot view the cameras from away from home, its likely that they have lost their network connection, or are no longer able to communicate with TP-Links servers.
