Model: Tapo C217
Hardware Version: V6
Firmware Version: 1.2.1

I grabbed a pair of these to compare to the brand I already am over saturated with. Easy install, although the Power Plug doesn't seem too water proof. But could be in a manner I can't see. As a whole I'm really impressed with these little, creepy follows you silently cameras.

But I may have stumbled on a "Bug", having done Beta Testing with Tapo, where:

1. The most obvious discrepancy is that the when using the Viewpoint Preset settings after being set, the Cameras don't go to the spot where they were originally set to. Mostly dropping Vertically by 10~15 degrees for every setting. I have done the typical walkthrough TS and this is still happening.

1a. 032226. Now I'm no longer getting the view that I set or a Previous View from another button, with the Vertical View drop 10-15 degrees.

2. When Activating "Patrol" the camera does a full "360" Pan and Stops at the standard beginning point and stops.

3. Although I haven't intensely torn into these, standard operation seems to be there. Just needs some fine tuning. Another point pertaining to is its placement within the Tapo App and not being able to return to the Main Page making necessary to quit the App and reopen it.

4. Motion Sensing. Like I've mentioned I haven't really torn into these. But Motion Sensing seems to be limited as a whole. But a couple time I swear I have been picked up outside the "View" of the pickups. I've been thinking of how I could incorporate simple Motion Sensors to alert the camera of Motion outside this area. But I have yet to confirm that this is needed . . . yet.

There are many little tweaks that are a part of their operation that usually show up later in the game that are refreshing. Like a couple of times the cameras have shown up on my TVs via the Amazon FireTV 4K MAX stick without any setup. Surprised me! But with a couple of great features that overtake the ones that should be common that's leaving some missing or not completely finished. But I would be satisfied with the "Viewpoints" being fixed so I can continue working with them to discover other Pros and Cons. And I trust that in a short period of time, finessing of the product will happen.

But seriously, I'm contemplating on boxing up the system I have now and replacing it with these or their siblings. Especially with their application capabilities and price points!
