@Poisonesse That is just a protective film to keep the coating of the antennas from be scratched. Its not needed but it also doesn't have to be pulled off if you don't want to.

@Skeezicks tplinkwifi.net is hardcoded into the router. It is simply a DNS resolution of the default gateway and is only used to access the router UI while connected to the LAN of the router....
