@BestBuyB you may consider a DNS that does such as opendns or one of the others that offer that service.I have not used opendns so I can not review it. The functionality you want may be a paid...

@SpeakerGuy cat 5 will give you 100 where cat 5e or cat 6 will give you faster speeds. A bad cable can also give you slower speeds.

@Dave16 If you want to use the xfinity gateway as a modem and the tp link router to control your devices, you need to put the xfinity gateway into bridge mode.

@Eugene2727 try powering off the modem and router. Wait 5-10 min. Power up the modem and wait 5 min then power up the router.
