@Norske Check out EAP625 if you can connect by ethernet and use it as an AP. Or consider getting a matching router for mesh. edit... note there are other options like this.

@thosport As a test, connect your pc direct to the modem and then run your ping test. If you still get dropouts, then look at the modem or ISP. If good, put the router back in and the test with wifi...

@JorgeA If you are connecting via an ethernet cable. be sure the WIFI is off as per the user guide.
