Please refer to the Firmware release note for a List of Features Added to Your Model!
WiFi 5 |
Note: VPN is not supported. |
Wi-Fi 6 |

Wi-Fi 6E | |
Wi-Fi 7 |

Note:
1. Please make sure your Deco APP is up-to-date.
2. Please be aware that specific features may vary between hardware versions.
3. Some features are not supported under Access Point Mode.
4. If there are other Deco models in the Mesh network, some features would no longer show up, such as Signal Source and Connection Preference; while others only need the support on the main Deco, like VPN, Static Route, MTU, and smart DHCP.
5. As a reminder, the Technical support team does not have any information regarding what models the firmware is being developed for and when we could potentially see a particular release. Please refrain from asking "When Will 'X' Model Receive the Feature?"
Frequently Asked Questions:
1. Why can't I detect the above firmware on the Deco APP?
In the first stage of firmware release, the new firmware would be pushed to a part of users first, then gradually within the next few weeks, if everything goes on well, it will be pushed to all users. During this gap, it is normal if you can not detect the latest firmware. It is suggested to wait for a while or manually update the firmware via web UI per Update the Firmware of Deco.
2. If I have V1.6, which firmware should I use?
Common rules for firmware upgrade: Normally Vx.0=Vx.6/Vx.8 (eg:V1.0=V1.6/V1.8); Vx.x0=Vx.x6/Vx.x8 (eg:V1.20=V1.26/V1.28).
x.6 and x.8 are mainly used to distinguish the place of production.
3. How to downgrade the firmware if I run into any issues?
The newly released firmware feedback is always important and it would be highly appreciated if your could share here what happened to Deco after updating the firmware. We would reply to the post at the earliest time.
In case you have to downgrade the firmware immediately, the cross-platform firmware downgrade, like from 1.2.0 to 1.1.0 needs to be performed via firmware recovery. But if you just want to downgrade from 1.2.6 to 1.2.5 or 1.2.2, it could be done via web UI directly.

@BenGinders the Deco XE75 Pro(US)_V1_1.2.3 Build 20230810 release notes list a lot of fixes....
New features/Enhancements:
1. Optimized OpenVPN performance.
2. Optimized the performance of the port scanning function on the APP.
Bug Fixes:
1. Fixed the bug that after customizing the device name, the APP needs to wait for a longer time to display the updated device name.
2. Fixed the bug that there is no speed diagnostic function in AP mode.
3. Fixed the bug related to guest network isolation in AP mode.
4. Fixed the bug that the APP does not indicate the low link speed when the speed of WAN port is lower than 1000Mbps.
5. Fixed the bug that it does not work properly with some cables/devices.
6. Fixed the bug that device names were incorrectly recognized.
7. Fixed the bug that satellite Deco may fail to connect to main Deco after switching the way of backhaul.
8. Fixed the bug that the port number set in the port forwarding rule conflicts with the VPN server port number.
XE75 Pro V2 running 1.2.2 is definitely experiencing many of these problems.
Hopefully, it's just a matter of recompiling the same source from the V1 for the V2 and then quickly releasing it.

Thanks @tpnick, I hadn't realised that there was that many fixes. From what I understand TP-Link Don't usually roll out fix updates unless users with the V2 iteration report the same bugs.
They do however rollout feature updates to all versions, which is why we did get 1.22 but not 1.23. If you face the same bugs reported for V1 I would advise reporting them to TP-Link and I will do the same if I see these bugs.

Although announced, the interim release 1.5.8 is still not available for application. In addition, from a customer service point of view, it would be greatly appreciated if and when a 1.6.0 version for the M4 V2 becomes available or will be available.

@JaapHoutman 1.5.8 I have on my m4 v2. And no notable changes. So slow with updates. Just give us what we need and should already have. 😂

@JaapHoutman It is really incredible that they released 1.6 for M4 V4 and not for previous hardware revision "V2". M4 V2 is still sold and You can get it randomly.

@Fabio25 I know. Why not just send updates out for each model at once? Instead of random updates for random models.

Is x60 version 3.0 used in the x60 3.20 because there is no direct download of firmware within the link when I choose 3.20? Also the version number in my 3.20 seems to be higher than I can see here
If it is, I assume that the 3.0 would be used on the 3.20?
I'm currently on 1.2.4 Build 20230601 Rel. 37750

Anyone have a link to a more recent firmware for M9 v2 than 1.6.1 Build 20230403 Rel. 66598?
According to the original post on 2023-07-11, everyone should have "gradually" got the new firmware updates by now...
