Tapo C210 randomly seems offline until iOS app restart
Tapo C210 randomly seems offline until iOS app restart
Hi,
My camera, or rather my iOS app has some strange behaviour that I cannot really troubleshoot. While I am dealing with the app frequently it tells me that the camera is offline and I can not change anything on the camera (it asks me if I want to remove it or check the leds). If I close the app and then open it again I can operate normally again. Even sometimes when the app is open, the shortcut on the widget says it is offline. When I turn off the app the widget goes back to its normal status and I can control the privacy mode again. My signal strength stands at -40/42 so I do not think it is a wifi connectivity issue. And the camera does not seem to have any led indications of something wrong. It is just the app can not get the status from the camera on random frequent intervals. The camera do has an account so that I can record on my synology server but I do not know if that would cause this problem. I feel like it has more to do with the app than the camera itself but I am not sure. Any indications how I can assess what is going on here?
Thank you in advance for your time and efforts!

Hi,
I have received the app logs, however, since the reported issue is not reproduced on the debug app, the app log may be unable to locate the issue.
It's recommended to continue to use the debug app and check if the reported issue will occur on it.

Will do.
I have not managed to replicate the issue in the beta app yet. But I have a question, doesnt it affect that the oficial version and the beta are on different releases?
While the original app is 3.2.505 the beta is at 3.1.502. So I dont know if it allows us to detect it.

Hi,
Since the problem happens on the iPhone when you use the old official Tapo app version, I think the debug app(3.1.502) can be used to test.
If the problem disappears on the debug app, please feel free to let me know.

My iPhone official app was upgraded to a newer version thanks to you helping me by deleting the old one and installing it again,.
Anyway this morning I just seen that the problem also occurs in the Beta app so I sent an email with the log as you indicated.
There are two logs one of them is the last one which I generated after the problem occured and there was another one from just before so I also sent that one anyway.
I hope it helps
