Model: Tapo C320WS
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

While installing it outdoor and sliding the power cable through wall I accidentally broke the cable. Then I manually joined the wires by slicing the insulation and twisting. I can see a strong connection but after that the camera won't start. LED just doesn't blink.

my question: the power cables just carries power no signal that can interfere if wire is twisted, right? do I need to change the power supply?

Hi,
1. The power cable to the Tapo C320WS carries power and no signal.
2. You may need to change the power supply(including the power cord) to power the camera. On the official website > Tapo C320WS's Support page, you can select your camera's hardware version, then tap the Datasheet to see the power specs of the camera.
Best Regards
