In the last week my C500 camera has started showing the same preview image for multiple recordings.

I now have to look through all the recordings to find things (i.e. a delivery being left) because I can't separate them from the preview.

Does anyone know why this has just started happening and how to resolve it?

Hi,
We have new firmware for the Tapo C500 V2 regarding the phenomenon that the camera shows the same preview image for multiple detection video clips. You can email us with the subject line "[Forum ID 830790] + Tapo C500 V2, Playback page shows the same snapshots" and provide the following information if you would like to try the firmware.
  1. The MAC address of the camera
  2. A screenshot of the camera's Playback & Download > Playback page that shows the reported phenomenon.

 

Before the Upgrade:
(1) Please be sure you have read the Beta Test Agreement before upgrading the Pre-release firmware!
(2) How to update the firmware of the Tapo devices on the Tapo App 
(3) Firmware downgrade is not supported. When a new official version is released, updating it will overwrite the beta version.
