Hi,
 

I’m having trouble with my Tapo C510W camera, which suddenly went offline. I’ve tried basic troubleshooting, but it didn’t resolve the issue.

I also removed the device from the Tapo app and attempted to reconnect it. However, during the setup process at the “Connect to Device Network” step, the Tapo network does not appear.
 

Currently, the device is blinking red and green.
 

Device details:

  • Model: Tapo C510W
  • Hardware Version: 1
  • Firmware: Unknown (cannot check since the device is not connected to the app)


Could anyone please advise on how I can fix this issue?

Hi,
Please refer to Case 2 in the following instructions to troubleshoot if you can't find the default SSID of the camera.
What should I do if I fail to configure Tapo Camera?
 

If the same phenomenon persists, please try the following steps.
  1. Power off the camera, remove the inserted SD card, and power on the camera with the original power adapter.
  2. Wait for 2 minutes, press and hold the reset button on the camera for 10 seconds to factory reset it. 
  3. Go to your phone's settings > Wi-Fi page to see if the default SSID appears. If not, test with other devices, such as tablets or laptops. 

 

If all your devices can't see the default SSID of the camera, you can contact your retailer or our local team to check if the camera is under warranty.
