Hi my Tapo seems to be turning privacy mode off without my permission and there is nothing else connected to my account apart from me and also is it possible to include being able to connect to at least 2 networks for my camera. I changed my password to make sure already and I have checked all of my settings to ensure there's nothing else I even added extra protection to my emails using Authenticator app to prevent any access so I'm really confused as to what's going on

Thank you for reaching out. We understand your concern about the camera’s privacy mode turning off unexpectedly and appreciate you taking steps to secure your account.


If the Privacy Mode turns on or off automatically:
    1. Go to Tapo app > Cameras tab > Home Mode or Away Mode to check if your camera is included. If so, preset configurations in Home/Away Mode may change Privacy Mode Status：Tapo Home Mode and Away Mode: What They Are and How to Set Them Up on Kasa and Tapo Cameras and Doorbells
    2. Go to Tapo app > Smart tab > Automation to check if any rules toggle Privacy Mode: Tapo Smart Actions: How to Set Up Automations and Shortcuts on the Tapo App

 

As for connecting the camera to multiple networks, currently, a Tapo camera can only be connected to one Wi‑Fi network at a time.
