Hi I am struggling to connect to my WiFi. It worked wonderfully for hours and then suddenly stopped when I tried to change the host name and password with the "quick setup." Whenever I do the quick setup now it just says "0.0.0.0(PPPoE) Authentication failed, incorrect username or password." I tried rebooting and reseting but it still does not work.Please help

Hello, as Sunshine mentioned earlier, if the 'Authentication failed' error came out when you run the quick set up, you are suggested to contact your ISP to confirm or get a new pair of username and password, then try to dial up again on the modem.
Thank you very much.

Hi, you might need to provide more details about which username is referred to;
If it is a wireless password/security key, the default password is 8 digits on the back label which could be changed by users later;
If it is the web interface username, the default is admin;
while if it is the internet connection, such as PPPoE username, it is given by the service provider and normally is an email address;
Thank you.

In my case router MAC ID was registered with ISP, resulting in authentication failure when I switch the router. Issue got resolved when ISP registered new routers MAC ID.
