Hi I have problems with my Archer D50 (this: https://www.tp-link.com/en/products/details/cat-15_Archer-D50.html)

There is not a firmware update version, and I can't find solutions over internet. The problem is that I have vey high ping spikes (from 50 ping to even 300, or 500 and more). So playing online is a pain for me and my teammates. I'm aware that other devices can share internet connections so I did many tests. I connect my pc via lan, turn off wifi and still having problems even if on my PC no ther software is using internet (so no torrent, no streaming, only gaming or adsl test).

I have also contacted my provider and they did all the possible. They said configure your modem better.

Now I have found this tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YX-hKAoOaFk and I wish to follow the steps but I need to find the QOS settings on the modem page at http://192.168.1.1/ and I can't find this setting. Where is it located? Why I can't find it? please help me.

Hello,

As you can see, there is no QoS, while the Archer D50 supports bandwidth control. which means you can limit bandwidth for ech device.

Note: QoS and bandwidth control can be a workaround for each other.

Below is the instrcution to enable bandwidth control function on the D50. You can setup higher bandwidth for the devices which used to play games.

https://www.tp-link.com/en/faq-2176.html ( the model number is different, while the configuration steps are the same)

Or you can refer  to page 18 to do that. https://static.tp-link.com/Archer_D50(EU)_V2_User_Guide_1480751030959u.pdf

Besides, you can enable UPnP to make online games run more smoothly.  You can refer to page 58 of the user manual.

May it help.
