Please add the ability to change channel and 2.4 GHz bandwidth. It's ridiculous this isn't possible.

I have 4 brand nwe BE95's that I am about to return to amazon because the 2.4 ghz performance is horrendous (all wired gigabit backbone) - extremely slow and poor range for open air devices in line of sight.

Network optimization is useless (and why should a user have to manually "optimize" their network?). The FORCED 40 mhz 2.4ghz bandwidth is obviously absurd and goes against basic networking design standards, and the inability to manually select channels for any band (2.4, 5, 6) is equally ridiculous.

Additionally, your forced auto selection a) ignores possible conflicts revealed by Wifi Scanner or Wifi Explorer software; b) often uses overlapping channel assignments for 2.4ghz (right now it is using 2); and c) for 5 ghz, it never tries any channel above 48 with 160mhz selected.

You must overcharge so much for your products that you don't care about returns.

  @thrangster

i had the same issue and I think I solved it, or at least found a workaround.

if i have a network that is only 2.4ghz then that network is extremely weak... if I add 5ghz then the network is stable and remains that way.

i however do need to to turn off fast switching and beamforming othetwise my older home automation stuff does not work. I was hoping to fix that by using the lot network only on 2.4ghz but if I do that the 2.4ghz has rediculously low range (where range should be higher then with 5ghz), is extremely weak and I have to restart the main deco several times per day because looses its client list...

its bugs...

  @Marc71

well I was using IoT 2.4 and having all these issues - this is because I want to segregate the ssids for 2.4 and 5, which you cannot do using the primary wireless settings

at the moment the ap’s are in the shipping boxes ready to be returned - are you saying you are getting good 2.4 performance if not using IoT?

no, i am getting good working 2.4ghz if I enable 5ghz for lot also .. 2.4gh clients will still use 2.4ghz even if 5ghz is also enabled.

  @Marc71 So iot 2.4 only stinks? iot 2.5 and 5 ghz, 2.4 works well?

  @thrangster

in my case: have lot with only 2.4ghz stinks

lot with 2.4gh. AND 5gh works fine.

2.4 only = bad

2.4+5 = good

  @Marc71 Really strange, but will see. Perhaps they lower the radio power when 2.4 -only is enabled, for some bizarre reason, and with both, the radio power is full. Sounds like a bug if thats what it turns out to be

Thanks
