The canned reply for why you don't offer this feature makes no sense. Basically you are saying you know more then us, shut up and let us choose for you - you stupid human.

Any updates on this for the PX50 also? I have some devices that couldn't see the netword when the PX50 was on channel 12 but it appeared once the channel was dropped to 6 but it's luck of the draw with the optimize feature in the app.

Just to let support know, I decided to return my AXE5400 mesh system today due to the lack of this very basic feature. The system was far worse performing than my cheap 5 year old Orbi and I can't wait for firmware updates that "may" implement the feature.

I need that feature. Because I live in crowded city.

I just bought XE75 recently to replace my existin Unifi router and Access Point with the hope to improve the wifi speed. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. I spent A$600 hoping to improve my wifi network but ended up the worse than ever.

The same problem that everyone here is facing, I cannot assign specific wifi channels on 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz as I could on my unifi access point.

The XE75 wifi is very unstable, I keep getting disconnected while on Teams meetings, when connected to XE75 wifi but not on Unifi.

The reason I need to manually select the channel is because I have a Samsung phone and some models have trouble with lower 5GHz channels.

Since my router picked 36 and my phone doesn't see it, I am screwed. :-(

I'm guessing adding to this topic is like beating a dead horse, but I'll throw in a reply anyway.

My neighbors are using channels 6 and 11. For some reason, my 3 node M5 network settled on channel 8 and said things were 'perfect' no matter how

many times I optimized the network. Things were far from perfect.

My 'fix' which I only recently thought of has been this:

Fire up two decommissioned access points (old D-Link and a Netgear, key thing is being able to set a channel / imagine that). Put one on channel 11, another on channel 6. Set both AP's right next to the main deco. Leave them on for a minute, run network optimization and suddenly there is interference. Network optimization chooses channel 2, and my 2.4 GHz network is fine again. Until a reboot happens and it goes to a conflicting channel.

Why Deco won't pick channel 1 is beyond me. Channel 2 has a slight overlap with 6, but not terrible.

Should I have to do this? In 2023, no. Does it work? Mostly. It is an inconvenience, and an unnecessary inconvenience.

Strongly considering a rip and replace due to this and a few other lingering issues. I've dealt with this and other issues for 3 years now. Hard to think something so seemingly simple can't be easily accommodated.

My tapo camera can't even find my deco wifi because my deco chose the most congested 2.4ghz channel
