Future Consideration Possibility to change WiFi channels
There should be a way to change WiFi channel, or at least the system should change it by itself, choosing the least saturated one. For 2.4GHz it is clear that it will be almost impossible to select a free channel, but on the 5GHz I only see other 2 networks and we are all in the same channel! For at least one the reason may be that our neighboor is using a TP-Link product as well.
I think this is a very basic configuration in any WiFi device, which I would have never though was not going to be possible before buying it.

So many people asking for the same thing... The auto-optimize feature is a cool concept--but it should only be an assistive function to pick for the user if the user doesn't want to do so manually. There should always be a way to manually override imo.
Having said that, it seems people have asked for this 4 years ago and it doesn't seem like it's coming any time soon.
If you guys insist on keeping it automatic, can you guys at least make the optimizer aware of its prior choices? The optimize feature does not seem to "remember" prior selections, so whenever I go optimize, I keep thrashing between back and forth between the same 2 channels on the 6ghz band. It would be nice if it said "hey, i've gone back and forth between channels A and B 10 times, how about I try channel C now?"

@David-TP How can this be marked as a solution? I've saved up for and purchased the Deco XE75 6e mesh and the optimizer puts my 5GHz band right on top of my neighbours every single time, all that free channel bandwidth that nobody is using and now I look like the neighborhood BOFH for putting my APs on the same channels as theirs. This can't be a difficult change, give us manual channel settings, please, or these devices simply aren't fit for purpose. Also please, a full function WebUI is essential, the app should be optional for users who want a quick setup - why add a WebUI and make it so restrictive, its barely a status page and has no function. An advanced tab in the web page and app is all that's needed, with a few drop down selections to solve these evidently long-running problems. That will make a great product out of a really frustrating mess.

I can't recommend tplink routers unless third party firmware can be installed.
There's too many limitations.

@bjlockie I agree but until xwrt has support for 6e chipsets this is what we have to put up with until either ddwrt or openwrt catches up, other companies get cheaper 6e products out, or tp-link get a few more features into their software. The fact that the drop-down boxes are in the web UI but are hidden suggests they're thinking about it, perhaps it'll appear or they need more developers on the case.

@David-TP why does tp link scanners show high interfere and even recommend best channel to use? Why would this not happen automatically?

@David-TP Not really sure why such an explanation appears to be so ridiculously put together. Is it to try and stop most non specialist people to feel this is a valuable contribution to what I feel is an important error? All cheap broad band boxes (bbbs), I have used, I have been able to change channels when they become too popular to all the my local neighbours within my close community. To which I mean, flats, semi detached houses, shops and other services, that live back to back with each other. I have written to tp-link a few times. No success. It seems most other suppliers bbbs, are preset to the ones tp link have assigned to their services bbbs devices we use. Why does this happen? It seems most people write to complain for a change of channels. Tp link stuff is good, it could be brilliant if we could find our devices can be selected to use the non in use channels, to stop all the interference. I suffer from, wifi dropping out, slow down and up loading over the internet, that tp link seem to deny happens. There are many Apps that show who is using what channel, that is why I know I am being crowded out by many of my neighbours. Some are tp link as well, that cannot move their users channels either!
It seems as though tp link use the same company as the British Post Office use for their Horizon set up. Deny it is faulty, it can't be done, etc. etc., but we all know other bbbs manufacturers can produce automated and manual resetting of channels on individual devices people use for internet connections.
Could you possibly use a different provider that can really design a decent setup for all your internet connection devices? Your reply might answer your own line managers questions, but not your customers questions.
Sorry to go on, but it is really silly to deny it cannot be done quickly! You are losing credibility tp link. I will not buy any more of your kit, until you come to terms with your instabilities to put this right. Why do I have 5 or 6 users all on the same channels in both 2.4 and 5 GHz channels?

This is bizar!! Today received a new thermostat. It needs the 2.4 ghz network. That's not a problem. The biggest problem is that it only functions on channel 1, 6 or 11. How on earth will I be able to do that when I can't change the WiFi channel in the Deco Home app?? This topic is running for years....and still no solution?? I am flabbered.......
