Hi,

Are any of the OneMesh compatible range extenders able to use wired ethernet backhaul? If this is not possible, can a OneMesh router and Deco units be combined in one mesh network?

Not sure which section this question belong in - Routers, Extenders, or Deco.

thanks,

Adam

@adbar

Hello Adam, the range extender which supports Onemesh feature support this option on range extender mode only, only wifi backhaul; and the Onemesh and Deco mesh network are different, they cannot create a mesh network together.

May it help.

@Sergiolo

Hello, sorry that the RE505X can’t support the ethernet backhaul. Only Deco supports the Ethernet backhaul currently.

@Kevin_Z

Hello Kevin_Z,

Are there currently plans for wired backhaul to be added to One Mesh in the future? If so, is there an estimated release date?

Thanks

@adbar

The big question that all Tp-Link customers with OneMesh equipment are waiting for.

And it will be inadmissible that TP-Link does not provide ethernet backhaul functionality for OneMesh.

@Kevin_Z Is there any place where we can upvote features that your products need? this needs to have priority for devs.

Hi @Kevin_Z, interesting question tho: if I use a powerline extender with OneMesh function (like TL-WPA8631P KIT), is that basically OneMesh with Ethernet backhaul? - Considering the powerline somehow equivalent to an Ethernet cable...

Futher more, if I have an Ax11000 creating a OneMesh already, can the OneMesh created by TL-WPA8631P be a part of it?

Thanks!
