Archer VR2100 - Randomly reboots several times a day.
Hi,
Had the Arccher Vr2100 a few eeks now and it reboots itself several times during a 24hr period.
Firmware up to date and cannot see and kind of schedules in the settings that would reboot it.
The logs do not show anything obvious.
Do i have a faulty device?

I'm testing '210426' now. As I wrote before Uptime was about 13 hours and then VR2100 went down.
Now second day without crash. It is very weird. It seems that the most stable version was 210413_nosnooping.
But I'm not sure. It is very random with strange behaviour.

Email with support are confidential but I think nobody from TPLINK don't mind if I'll share it:
https://static.tp-link.com/beta/2021/202104/20210427/Archer_VR2100V1_210426_Fix_Marco.zip
But I received email today about IGMP issue and fix is still in progress. I think 210426 is without MTK's patch as in 0413.
Which means there may be another patch soon.

24 hours uptime on 210426....
210413 nosnoop has been the most consistent so far for me.

@Kevin_Z When are we going to get a stable firmware?

Still waiting....
I was told they are running hardware debug testing and to please wait.
For now they said to install the most stable beta for me and minimise disruption with scheduled reboots.

Does anyone have a link for the 210413 firmware for me to out please?
I have been using my vr2100 as a wireless router these days. I,m using a BILLION 88OONL as a modem.
@TP-Link @Kevin_Z Why are TP-link hiding this thread from users in the forum? Scared people will stop buying this garbage router before you discontinue it????

Hi, here it is:
https://static.tp-link.com/beta/2021/202104/20210414/Archer_VR2100V1_210413_nosnooping.zip
and I just got another feedback from the user that he rolled the firmware back to Archer VR2100(EU)_V1_200116
No reboots for 2-3 weeks and would you mind testing that as well?
Thank you.
(PS: since we have created a ticket for almost all the regular users and forwarded it to the senior engineers so that they would talk to the engineers directly about the beta firmware; for the new users, we wish to help them locate the best suggestion very quickly since this post is quite long and we have started a new thread;)

Just reporting back from my second hand Fritzbox 7530. Uptime (no reboots) is now showing over 75 days. This is something TP-Link can only dream of with their equipment!!
