Hi Kevin,
Thank you very much for your clarification above which is more than enough to be fully aware of the situation.
But unfortunately i have the same router model, only 15 days experience (home setup) ;and:
1. wifi radio sometimes disappear and disconnected.
2. Long time to get an external ip (sometimes over 15 minutes.
3. UI (HTTP) over wifi is deadly slow.
I know this model is locked for an ISP, and its firmware are customized by them... I did some research in my country and find that a lot of people have the same problems.
So i contacted my ISP, and did a quick visit with my router in hand... I explained my issues. And the solution was they reinstall the FIRMWARE on the same router. And guess what i still have the same problems.
Anyway i managed to get another router, tested it for one week and the internet service / wifi were great.
I'm so sorry to write down all those lines, but i did because i TRUST tplink i have been equipped with Tp-Link equipments for over 20 years. And it never failed me. And i was very disappointed to see tplink name on a troubled device and the issue can be solved by just a firmware updates, while you guys can't so sometime.
Please help.. Do something, your name on those devices.

@abghany I have had the same exact experience which is very weird to me as a previous tp link user who have always thought of the company as the best router manufacturers, I don't actually know what i should do but i would like to know what you did about that problem? And i would also like to know who your ISP is as we might be facing the same problem with the same ISP.

For other l users who had the same firmware request of vn020-f3, since it is a customized mode for the local service provider, there are no generic versions of firmware we could provide;
If this modem is given by ISP for a subscription of internet service, please have a check with them whether they released a new firmware for improvement;
If you bought this modem by yourself, please contact the local support team for more assistance;

والله نفس المشكلة في الراوتر الخاص بي ومع الذهاب الي مزود الخدمه لم يتم افادتي باي شي ولم يتم تغيير الروتر ويبقي الوضع علي ما هو عليه الي الان
