  @Kevin_Z same here !! Cat.8 Used, still 100Mbps . my problem are exactly same with @Daisuke93

Hello @666_ax10user, Can I have the model number of the TP-Link router? Be sure its WAN/LAN ports are 1000Gbps. Then please verify it's the WAN negotiation that capped at 100Mbps or LAN negotiation? If it is LAN, try with a different computer or gigabit device, you can also try different LAN ports.

 Same issue for me as described here: https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/548132?page=1

Archer C5400X connected to AX6000, both on latest firmware, started getting capped at 100Mbps.

Tried literally everything:

  1. Tried 4 different CAT 5E / 6 cables
  2. Connected the C5400X directly on the AX6000 (they are located on different floors)
  3. Connected the C5400X on a different LAN port on the AX6000
  4. Connected the C5400X directly on the ISP router bypassing the AX6000
  5. In every scenario i tested with all 4 cables
  6. Factory reset (C5400X)

Unfortunately nothing worked.

My question is though, how can this start happening out of the blue for so many people?

  @Kevin_Z

You can do 2 things.

1:Either upgrade your router

2: Go to router settings using 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.254 depending on your router and try to find if ihe cap can be removed.

  @Kevin_Z

Here is my make and model

TP Link ER605 1.2.0 Build 20220114 Rel.76871

Issue = Cannot get a throughput speed faster than 90MBs.

I have 2 - 1GBs fiber connections. If I connect to either router (from ISP) I get 950+ MBs on my down and up. BUT through this TP Link I get limited to just about 90MBs on up/down. I have followed everything on here and noticed no improvement.

For testing I have made sure that only 1 device is connected to the TP Link (my laptop, wired connection) and using the exact same connection (wire) to either of my ISP routers, I get 950+MBs on speed. But when I connect to the TP Link router it is limited. I have tried different ports in the TP Link, I have tried removing 1 ISP from the TP Link, I have tried no using Omada, and factory settings on the TP Link. Not at any time do I get an improvement on speed. Can someone please assist in helping with a solution?

Hello @Brlott1

Thank you for posting on the TP-Link Home Community Forum.

Even though the model of your router is designed for business, you can also try the suggestions provided in my original post.

If the issue persists, it's suggested to search or post your issue in the business community to get some further suggestions:

 Same here, max speed is tethered to 100Mbps. Suggested solutions do not work;

1. What is the model of the TP-Link router?
Archer AX50

2. What troubleshooting have you done, and what are the results? Send us the screenshots about the Negotiation speed.
Different cable(s)
factory reset
set Internet Port Negotiation Speed Setting to 1000Mbps Full Duplex

3. What are the devices that you are testing the LAN speed, and what are the models of the adapters?
speedtest over wifi on my mobile phone

4. When did you purchase the TP-Link router, and when did the issue begin to happen?
20 months ago / yesterday after switching isp

5. What is the model of the ISP modem that this TP-Link router connects to?

n/a (Starlink round dish plugged directly into AX50)

  @Kevin_Z

I have started a thread with no response here https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/585580, " Slow wifi download speed archer C59 ") after my experience with your tech support was lackluster at best (case TKID221016273). I am not convinced my archer C59 is defective or it's performance degradation like your tech support has concluded. The thread I started (https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/585580) has screen captures that your tech support asked me. Any settings that need to be checked?

One thing I noticed in this thread, other TP link routers have 1000 mbps speed in duplex settings, mine shows speed of only 100 mbps, and mine is set to auto negotiate, and checking the specs of archer C59 tells me it has gigabyte port. So help, please.

  @totototo

This is, despite what customer service says, unfixable. We just have the bad luck of a faulty router that shouldn't have passed quality control (if there is one). Take your loss and walk away from TPLink in the future...

@totototo

If your Archer C59 is hardware version V1, it's equipped with 4 10/100Mbps LAN ports and 1 10/100Mbps WAN ports. That's why you cannot get a speed exceeds 100Mbps.

Please check the datasheet for Archer C59 V1:

https://static.tp-link.com/Archer_C59_Datasheet_1.0_1473319989106p.pdf

On the products overview and specifications, you will only find the information about the latest hardware versions, such as V4, that's why you see the ports are gigabits:
