Hi, Thank you very much for your cooperation.
As for other users who have the same confusion, please refer to the following information.
Deco M4, Deco M9 Plus, X20, X60 as well as X90, also have plans to release firmware 1.6.0 in the future.
But there is no ETA that could be provided.
So sometimes there would be no reply if you asked when the new firmware would be released since technical support would be not informed of the release date in advance.
I will pin this post on the first page and update this post if any definite information about new firmware is provided.

Update:
The 1.6.0 for Deco M9 Plus is ready now and we are waiting for your feedback!

@TP-Link what about a beta? I've started having issues with devices not connecting or not able to obtain proper ip. Was fine till about 2 weeks ago and now constant issues even if I turn off a device it fails to reconnect. Its like the dhcp is not releasing or properly renewing addresses

Hi, did your Deco M9 plus work on the access point mode?
If you don’t mind, it is suggested to start a new thread about your current issue with the following details:
1. What are these devices that failed to obtain the IP addresses from Deco? Can I have their model numbers and operating system?
2. How often did this issue start?
3. And how did you temporarily fix this issue, rebooting the Deco units?
Thank you very much.

@TP-Link my deco m9s have always been in wireless router mode. And I have not changed anything. But the last 3 weeks its like all my devices have issues connecting and get an invalid gateway and ip some have connected fine but others take days then suddenly show up. While others I need to manually add a static ip to connect. I've checked my isp modem and all seems ok there(still accessible and in bridge mode). It seems like the dhcp server on the deco just isn't broadcasting correctly even after multiple reboots. Hoping for a early beta of 1.6 as im close to jumping to another brand.

@TP-Link Does a feature list describing the changes from 1.5 to 1.6 exist somewhere?
I now have 3xM9+ with 1.5.1 Build 20210126 Rel. 59387, and it is working fine. Before performing any upgrade it would be nice to know the benefits.

I saw in a thread that there was potentially a beta version out there. Not being able to change the channel or control which band a device is connecting to i painful. My Switch will only connect to the 2.4g band and the latency is horrendous. Never had this problem with any other router or mesh network.

As for the new features on 1.6.0, you could refer to the beta test of Deco M5.
It has listed most of the added features.
@xplodzs there is a plan for Deco E4 but no ETA could be provided yet.
sparta1osu, the option to select wireless bands is available on 1.6.0 as well, but not wireless channel.
Currently, it is suggested to enable a guest network for 2.4ghz only and turn off the Mesh Technology on the Deco APP for the switch.
