Model: TL-PA7020 KIT
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Hello,

We would require run 2 separate LAN segments via powerline connection and we looking if model TL-PA7027PKIT can suit our needs.

Internal Lan and IPTV stream from ISP needs to be separated.

If we purchase model TL-PA7027PKIT, can we setup e.g. in tpPLC utility that eg one pair (left plugs) are PowerlineNetwork1 and right one will be PowerlineNetwork2?

Or Dual Ethernet ports means only switch functionality on both pairs of poweline adapters?

So in fact we will require purchase 2 separate adapter kits to achieve our goal?

Thanks a lot for your answers!

Regards,

Julius

Hello @JHx

Thank you for being interested in TP-Link Powerline devices. After set up powerline kit with router (Topology:  Router <Ethernet> main powerline unit <powerline> extender powerline unit <wired/ wireless> devices like laptops and phones), all the IP addresses are assigned by main router, and devices are still in the local LAN network.

If you want to build isolated networks, you may also consider some smart switches (wired to router) + AP and set up different WLANs, you could start a new thread here in the Business Products subforum for switch recommendation.
