@David-TP do we know when 1.6.0 will be officially released?

I have the same issue with my ring doorbell, it doesn't work on 5GHZ. What's odd is on 2.4GHZ it moans about weak signal when its literally like 4 meters from the main Deco. No other device reports weak connection from that same spot so just assuming the Ring Doorbell 4 just has a sh*t WiFi module.

@David-TP Please consider this in next firmware update:
When you have Ring devices (I'm running 8 cams and a Video Doorbell Pro 2) then you have some difficulties if you want to use the 5GHz band. Ring only supports channel 100 and up, but TP-Link don't let me choose the channel or the channel range. Deco M9 Plus creates 3 connections: 1 2.4GHz, 1 low-range 5GHz and 1 high-range 5GHz. I can disable the 2.4GHz but i cannot choose the 5GHz bands. Now i bought an TP-Link Archer AX55 and use it as an accesspoint with only 5GHz on channel 100, but it is just crazy to use an extra device next to the 6 Deco's just because of limitations in the user interface. Please give us some control like TP-Link does in the web interface of the Archer AX55.

We are approaching 5 months that this firmware has been in beta. When will it be available to download via the app? This is in no way an unreasonable question to ask. Thanks.

Hi I thought I'd add in to this that I have been running the beta software for a few months with no problems (installed due to tapo equipment not being recognised as smart devices).
I've had gigabit ethernet for 2 years and have never had the full speed on the deco (tests done through deco app and through pc connected to deco via ethernet) around 500mbps down 100mbps up, the deco is used as the router connected directly to the fiber modem so the closest minimum amount of problems possible. If I plugin the ISP provided router instead of the deco both the routers speed test and pc (again still connected by ethernet) gets over 900mbps down just over 100mbps up. No QoS is set and its on 1000. So the slowdown has been in prior software as well, I looked for any people's problems with this kind of slowdown at the time I got my fiber. But no-one appeared to have had this problem back then. So I just left it after all it was 2020. Anyway hope this helps with the slowdown issues.

@David-TP
Any ETA for the new firmware to go public?

@MarvinZH I wouldn't write off 1.6 entirely, just wouldn't advice the current beta. or almost any pre-release firmware from TP-link.

@David-TP Thanks for your comment. You're not going to believe it, but since the downgrade to 1.5.6, the speed is back to normal! The downgrade finally succeeded. I will never update to 1.6 again.
For all those with a speed drop, downgrade to 1.5.6 and the problem is fixed.

Hi, Deco M9 plus could be downgraded back to 1.5.6 from 1.6.0 via firmware recovery-How to use firmware recovery. It is not a common troubleshooting suggestion unless there is none left. Normally it is used when Deco was bricked.
Best regards.

Can I have more details about your speed issue after the 1.6.0 upgrade?
How did you run the speed test? via Ethernet cable or wireless connection?
Please also help me check whether the speed dropped as well when only the main M9 plus is connected.
Wait for your reply.
Best regards.
