Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version: 1.0.10 Build 211125 Rel.60213n (7378)

ISP: Airtel, India

 

Router: Nokia G-140W-C

Hardware Version: 3FE47171ABCA

Boot Version: U-Boot Dec-31-2016--12:00:00

Software Version: 3FE47150DGAB80

My 5 GHZ is set for channel 44, Bandwidth: 40 MHZ.

 

Extender: TL-WA855RE

Mode: Extender mode

Firmware: 1.0.10 Build 211125 Rel.60213n (7378)

 

The extender is not detecting any 5 GHZ channels. I have factory reset the extender couple of times. Rebooted both Extender and Router multiple times. Firmware upgrade for Extender is complete. I have tried setup through WPS mode & Tether app mode. There are no ACL or other settings in Router.

 

Please suggest resolution. Am i missing something else?

It's good to know you've tried some suggestion in the troubleshooting thread.

TL-WA855RE is a single band range extender which only support 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi network, 

I think you may need some TP-Link  dual-band Wifi range extenders Wifi range extenders that can work on both 2.4Ghz & 5Ghz,

It's good to know you've tried some suggestion in the troubleshooting thread.

I think you may need some TP-Link  dual-band Wifi range extenders Wifi range extenders that can work on both 2.4Ghz & 5Ghz,

Thanks for pointing it out. I seem to have overlooked it as I moved from AC750 to N300 at the time of purchase.
