Model: Deco M4
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 1.0.2 Build 20220401 Rel. 35920

Hi,
I am trying to understand the firmware versioning. My Network consists of an X50 as main deco and 3 M4s as satellites.
Now my questions:
1) Looking at the image below taken from the UI i can see the hardware version of my M4s is V4. I cannot find the M4 V4 on your support website to locate the latest firmware. Why is that?

2) My firmware version is 1.0.2 Build 20220401 Rel. 35920 and my system tells me it is up to date. In the support forum, I can find firmware M4R 2.0_1.5.2 Build 20210916 Rel. 56193. I dont understand why there seems to be such a difference in versioning or why the higher version is dated before the lower version. and i also dont know if i can install this firmware on my M4 V4.

Thanks,
Christoph

  @No23

Hi, Thanks for the update.

You can see the firmware of Deco M4 V4 here:

https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/deco-m4/#Firmware

So you are already on the latest firmware version for V4 and it could not use the firmware for V1/V2/V3.

The default firmware of the V4 supports reboot schedule, noip DDNS/DynDDNS, and Smart DHCP switch in AP mode, these features will be supported on Deco M4 V1/V2/V3 via firmware update in the future.

Best regards.
