Hello there,

I just bought the TX20U Plus (AX1800) wireless USB adapter but I immediately found it is not compatible with my Windows7. It said there is no suitable driver during the installation process.  Are you going to release drivers for windows7 (just like your other wireless adapter products) or I should return this one and get an older product which supports Windows7.

Hi,

 

The following third-party download website offers a driver package that does include Windows 7 drivers. I've actually tested the x64 version of the Win7 driver myself.

Unfortunately, this is likely the oldest driver version that was released for this wireless chip and the driver's *.inf file does not include the USB ID of the TX20U Plus yet. So you likely would need to install this driver via the "Have disk" method in Windows, unselect "show compatible hardware", select the device "Realtek 8832AU Wireless LAN WiFi 6 USB NIC" and when it tells you this driver is not made for your hardware you have to confirm that you want to install it anyway.

Hi woozle,

Thank you for your quick response & help. I've downloaded the 3rd party driver and can't wait to try it (I left it in my office and can only try it next week). In fact I just bought another USB adaptor (AC1200 USB adaptor) and it works vell well on my Win7. I will compare these two adaptors on my Win7 and keep the better one.
