  @FGR

Hi, we don't have advanced notice whether AX58 V1 will support WireGuard VPN or not, please pay attention to any new firmware release for AX58 V1, we will also update the original post once there is any update.

Regarding the AX58 V2, upon checking, it has supported WireGuard VPN and EasyMesh ethernet backhaul compared with AX58 V1.

Re:Wi-Fi Routers that are Planned to support WireGuard VPN

  @Decapoda Heh. Looking at TP-Link brand as a whole, it has always been disappointing. I tried reverse engineer their switches and found out the salted hashes from the TCP calls to a couple of my CCTVs were static and non dynamic (changes every so often or randomized). Best way to get bang of your buck with most streamlined updates is always moving on to Asus products instead or going all OpenWRT and exploiting those CVE vulnerabilities, for something as easy as getting WireGuard to be supported. It is afterall a unix based system.

Hi, if you can see the WireGuard VPN feature but it doesn't work, please start a new thread and provide more details about your network topology, setup and also the issue so that we could try to assist.

And please also provide hardware and firmware version.

Everyone, who are tuning in and still waiting (hoping) for new firmware with wireguard support. Sadly, but it is pointless to wait. This ticket is old, if your router have not yet received firmware upgrade... there wont be an upgrade for this feature.

Better to stop wasting your time and hoping on TP, buy another router from different company which supports wireguard and most likely will have better support/assistance with device.
