Re:India Jio SIM stops working on TP-Link LTE Gateway Routers after upgrading to 5G

Hi Team,

I have an MR600 router (V3 model).

I'm facing the exact same issue — no internet access when using a Jio SIM card that previously worked in a 5G phone and is now being used in the MR600 router.

Earlier, I had used the beta image and enabled the XLET option to make it work. However, when I recently tried using the beta image again, it gave me an "Internal Error: 1".

Does anyone have a fix for this?

  @Sunshine

Hello everyone, I recently encountered an issue using Jio SIM with my TP-Link NX200 router. My Jio SIM is unable to connect to the network on NX200, but it works fine on my phone and other devices.

Issue Description

  • My Jio SIM does not obtain an IPv4 address on NX200, preventing internet access.
  • I tried manually configuring the APN, but the connection still fails.
  • Other SIM cards (such as Airtel) work fine on NX200, but Jio SIM does not.
  • I found that NX200 does not support XLAT, while Jio relies on 464XLAT for IPv4 compatibility.

Solutions I Have Tried

1. Manually configuring APN:

  • Set PDP type to IPv4-only or IPv6-only, but still no connection.

2. Firmware update:

  • Checked TP-Link’s official website, but no Beta firmware for NX200.

3. Testing different SIM cards:

  • Airtel and Vi SIMs work fine on NX200, but Jio SIM still fails.

Looking for Help

  • Is there a Beta firmware for NX200 that resolves Jio SIM compatibility issues?
  • Is there a Jio ISP file available for manual update?
  • Are there any other settings that can make Jio SIM work on NX200?

I would appreciate any advice from experienced users or TP-Link officials. Thanks in advance! 🙏

@Sunshine I am using Archer NX 200 router. It works perfect with Airtel SIM but on JIO SIM, the internet is working on my macbook pro and Ipad pro. But neither on lan nor on mobile devices , internet is not working. I tried manual APN with PDP type : IPV4. But when selected this, the internet is not working at all on any devices. I am running this router on the latest software version: 1.0.0 3.0.0 v60e0.0 Build 240822 Rel.76438n ; Hardware version: Archer NX200 v2.0 00000000. Kindly support

Re:India Jio SIM stops working on TP-Link LTE Gateway Routers after upgrading to 5G

I noticed the same issue with a friend’s device as well. It’s disappointing to see a premium very expensive router like the NX200 missing such a key feature. While TP-Link may address it in future updates, it’s concerning for customers who have already spent on these devices expecting full functionality. A similar case happened with the Archer MR600 V1, which lacked band selection initially. It feels like some models are being released without thorough R&D or alignment with the latest mobile network trends. In today’s AI-driven era, it's surprising to see essential features still being overlooked ultimately, it's the customers who face the inconvenience and suffers.

@Sunshine yes i can see XLAT option in MR600 V2.. but what about MR600 V1, its already running in beta for band selection. pls revert for the beta to support both feature manual band selection & XLAT in MR600 v1 ?
