Note:
1. Please make sure your Deco APP is up-to-date.
2. Please be aware that specific features may vary between hardware versions.
3. Some features are not supported under Access Point Mode.
4. If there are other Deco models in the Mesh network, some features would no longer show up, such as Signal Source and Connection Preference; while others only need the support on the main Deco, like VPN, Static Route, MTU, and smart DHCP.
5. As a reminder, the Technical support team does not have any information regarding what models the firmware is being developed for and when we could potentially see a particular release. Please refrain from asking "When Will 'X' Model Receive the Feature?"
Frequently Asked Questions:
1. Why can't I detect the above firmware on the Deco APP?
In the first stage of firmware release, the new firmware would be pushed to a part of users first, then gradually within the next few weeks, if everything goes on well, it will be pushed to all users. During this gap, it is normal if you can not detect the latest firmware. It is suggested to wait for a while or manually update the firmware via web UI per Update the Firmware of Deco.
2. If I have V1.6, which firmware should I use?
Common rules for firmware upgrade: Normally Vx.0=Vx.6/Vx.8 (eg:V1.0=V1.6/V1.8); Vx.x0=Vx.x6/Vx.x8 (eg:V1.20=V1.26/V1.28).
x.6 and x.8 are mainly used to distinguish the place of production.
3. How to downgrade the firmware if I run into any issues?
The newly released firmware feedback is always important and it would be highly appreciated if your could share here what happened to Deco after updating the firmware. We would reply to the post at the earliest time.
In case you have to downgrade the firmware immediately, the cross-platform firmware downgrade, like from 1.2.0 to 1.1.0 needs to be performed via firmware recovery. But if you just want to downgrade from 1.2.6 to 1.2.5 or 1.2.2, it could be done via web UI directly.

Hi, Thank you very much for the feedback.
Is the G2H camera the only device that dropped out a lot?
What troubleshooting steps you have done on the Deco?
Have you ever configured connection alerts on the Deco APP to see whether the online/offline notification showed up as frequently as Apple Home APP?
How to configure the Connection Alerts feature on the Deco app

Hi David, great news for many Deco users.
I would like to learn whether X20 V1.20 will get these updates too, otherwise I will try to sell it and buy some other model to get new features.

This guide here:

Saids that Deco X20 supports vpn server to setup, for example, OpenVPN. But, there's no VPN option available when i go to mine.
I've already created a support ticket and they came with no solution. So, seems that VPN option should be really checked in the guides. I bought this Deco X20 believing that I'll be able to find this feature...

Hi, welcome to the community.
Actually for Deco X20 V2, the latest firmware did not add VPN Server and Client features, V3 and V4 did.
The same as Deco M5 V1/V2/V3/V3.2, Deco X3600 V1, Deco W3600 V2, Deco X20/X25 V2, Deco X68 V1 and Deco W7200 V1
Thank you very much.
Best regards.

@David-TP thanks for your answer.
Then, the guide should specify what HW revisions apply. If not, it's pretty tricky.
Is there any plans or open beta to include VPN Server in V2?
Thanks again :)

I'm waiting for firmware update that supports VPN on any of the 4G or 5G decos. I wonder if that's ever going to happen.

Yet again am update for m4 v2 with nothing worth updating about. Why can't they just update us to the 1.6.0 update?? Let us use what is advertised when buying them. All decos run off main deco which is cr@p.

@Oakmeister Yes this!
I have 3 deco x75, 3 M5s that all support the new firmware features that I desperately need (like being able to restrict clients to a certain preferred deco!). Unfortunately my source of internet is 4G and my main deco is an X20-4G, thus none of the new features work unless all the decos support it... GRRRRR!
