Is it possible to have apps on 2 different phones (me&wife) to be able to control the system??
If so, do I just use my ID & password on her phone???

You can install the Tapo app on different phones to control the Tapo devices. If you use your ID & password on your wife's phone, she will have the same permission as yours.
If you share the Tapo device with your wife's TP-Link ID, she will have limited permissions.
