Connecting H100 to H200
Connecting H100 to H200
I want to have a chime in another part of the house. I purchase a H100 thinking it would connect to the H200 but I can find out how to connect them together. Any help greatly appreciate.

Hi,
The H100 is unable to connect to the H200 since they are hubs and need to connect to the router to go to the internet.
For example, if you have a Tapo D230 doorbell camera and want the H100 to ring when someone presses the camera, then after the H100 is configured successfully via the Tapo app, you can use the Smart Action>Automation feature on the Tapo app to achieve this usage scenario.
How to create Smart Action (automation or a shortcut) of my Tapo devices?
Best Regards

@Nichthewood . I've now got the h100 ringing but it is only ringing the fog horn, although I've changed both hubs to the doorbell 2 ring on my app?

Hi,
1. Please let me know your network diagram, what Tapo devices do you have, and what usage scenario you want to achieve so I can provide proper suggestions.
2. What smart action entries have you configured? You can send me a picture of the entries or describe your configurations.

Ok, I have a D230 doorbell connected to a h200 hub. The hub is outside in an outbuilding as the distance to the router is to great. These hub is wifi connected to an external tp link extender and is working fine ringing on doorbell 2 but obviously rings outside. I have a h100 inside my house connected via wifi to my router. Although it rings (fog horn ring)when the doorbell rings. I can’t change off fog horn. I can change the ring in the app to doorbell 2 and it says doorbell 2 but rings fog horn.
I have connected the h200 to H100 via smart actions
The doorbell does work fine, it’s just the doorbell ring that is a problem. The horn ring winds my dog up 🤣

Hi,
I can't find the fog horn ringtone on the Tapo app for the H100, on the automation entry you configured for the H100, is the ringtone set Doorbell Ring 2? If you tap the H100 on the Tapo app>Home page, is the ringtone set to Doorbell Ring 2?
If you change the ringtone of the H100 to a different one, does the H100 remain ring fog horn tone?

@Solla-topee sorry I'm calling it fog horn it's actually alarm 2. Checking it again this morning I have discovered that the smart action was resetting itself back to alarm2. We are setting it as doorbell 2 and saving it. Then when the doorbell is activated it's reverting back to alarm 2. ? The h100, h200 and smart action are all set and saved to doorbell2. Only the smart action is resetting itself.thanks
