@David-TP On the latest version, my wirelessly connected Deco has a mind of it's own, and even after setting a connection preference, connects to the root deco after every 2-3 days. Then it also refuses to connect to the chosen connection preference, whatever I do.
This needs to be fixed asap.

Hello, I am very very tired of waiting for the S4 V2 update to bring source/connection choice, it's beyond painful at this stage. Reminds me of your Archer C7 V1 disaster (which is why I stopped buying TP link for years). I made matters worse by buying M5 units which were immediately hobbled by the lack of functionality on my S4 V2 units. Such a waste of money. You guys need to RMA S4 V2 and M4 V2 units and stop leading people on a merry dance about non existent software updates.

Couldnt agree with you more !
The addition of the v2 M4 to my network, crippled my otherwise perfect network of M5s and X60s.
By crippled am referring to the client " connection preference " which is required for some IOT devices to function correctly.
As a result, tp link support suggested to try the beta firmware, which did bring back the ability to choose client's connection preference. However, its extremely buggy at best and resets the chosen preferences randomly.
Ahh well....

@David-TP Hi David, I am using 1.7.0 20240104 Rel. 37994 for my 2 x Deco M4 V2.
I have seen that there is a new beta firmware. What are the differences with the beta I'm using? Can I install it normally as if it was a normal firmware upgrade?
I am currently using 3 x Decos X50 V1 and 2 x Decos M4 V2. I will soon add a X50 Outdoor, wired to a X50.
Sorry to ask but I didn't find the info about the new beta firmware.
Thank You for Your help.

Thank You all for replying back to me. I have updated the firmware today and I have been able to do it as a normal firmware upgrade. So far I didn't notice differences. I didn't have problems even before with previous beta version. I only notice some slowdowns when viewing remote cameras but I am not sure it is due to Decos or my internet connection.
