  @Zeppos Nevermind, made it by connecting directly to the IP of the M4 candidate for the upgrade. Upgrade was successful and now client preference appears for all Decos. So far great success, hopefully I won't regret that.

  @David-TP Please fix my WAN ip address problem im facing this problem on my new Deco M4 (V2) units which i bought yesterday from Pakistan Tplink and same issue on my older Deco M4 (V2) units.

  @David-TP I have rebooted my Deco M4 at 4:00 PM and it took 3 minutes to get WAN ip address on beta firmware 1.7.0 and TP-LINK still not doing anything 😭😭

  @David-TP TP-LINK does'nt care about my issue. My issue is so small why my WAN ip address obtain after 3-4 minutes of reboot just fix it in new beta update its been 7 months and still no update.

  @ARGamingPK1 Go back to stable and stop crying.

Beta versions have problems, otherwise they would be stable.

  @Lalolelendo I'm not crying...Atleast TP-LINK should do something for Deco M4 its been 7 months and still no new beta update. You understand what i mean BABY

Hi David, the problem with using that Beta firmware (1.5.1 for the S4) is that it is very old now and is missing some of the key recent security updates. In fact having some awareness of the current level of security threats out there I find it very worrying that TP Link are recommending people use these older firmwares as it clearly puts people's devices at risk. I would strongly recommend users keep their firmware up to date to best protect their home network and I would have thought that TP Link would also recommend the same.

Bringing this back to the fore given recent and very concerning headlines regarding security concerns and TP Link routers. It is time to bring stable versions of the S4 & M4 firmware. @TP-no-Link
