Very bad audio quality

Good morning, I recently purchased 3 C520WS cameras, a C320WS and a C100, all 5 have terrible audio quality, it seems as if there was an anti-noise filter, which attenuates too much what you want to hear. Conversations between people if they are not 3 meters from the cameras are incomprehensible, you can't even hear passing cars. They are installed in a mountain area where there is no background noise, why not be able to choose whether to deactivate this anti-noise filter? Previously I had 4 cameras from another brand, I could choose to completely turn off a noise filter in the settings. in that case you could hear background noise, but that was fine for me, conversations between people were clear and understandable even if they were more than 15 meters away. With Tapo this is not possible. I'm really disappointed by this.
What good is audio on a video camera if half the sentences are muffled and unintelligible?

Hello,
When using the "call" feature to talk to a person on the camera, the audio quality is terrible. It is completely broken up and sounds mostly like choppy static. I have a fast, low latency internet connection. Can you please help?
Thank you!
Joe

Hi,
It's not recommended to post your camera's MAC address in the thread. For the reported issue, it's recommended to delete the camera's MAC address on this thread, send me the MAC address via a private message, and send me a video showing the reported issue for analysis.
You can upload the video to your cloud server(such as Google Drive), generate a link to download it, and send me(@Solla-topee) the link via a private message.
Best Regards

I have the same issue with a TC72 camera. Can I privately send you my MAC adress and get a firmware without noice supression so that I can see if it improves the sound quality?

Model: Tapo C225
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.1.0 Build 250228 Rel. 63257n
I've got a C225 and received the latest firmware version (1.1.0 Build 250228 Rel. 63257n).
Audio is just static now - can't make out anything other than static noise during live view and recording playback. Even old recordings downloaded from camera are garbled and useless.
I believe this is also affecting the sound detection features as the camera can't discern dog barks (and I'd assume baby cries and the rest).
I rebooted the camera and re-formatted the SD Card to troubleshoot - no change/improvement. I haven't yet performed a full camera factory reset, but that will likely be my next troubleshooting step.
The last beta firmware that I'd been running (1.0.12 Build 250225 Rel.35537n) was perfect - it would be great to get that version back.
Very frustrating, especially when the release notes for the new firmware version claim to have "Optimized audio quality."

Hi,
For the camera audio quality issues you are experiencing, to assist you further, please provide the following information:
1. Please confirm that the camera is placed in an open area, free from any significant obstacles affecting its audio quality. For example, items like metal panels that may cause echo should be avoided.
2. In the camera's Live View page, click on the "Talk" icon, then tap the icon in the upper right corner of the Talk page. Please send us the current settings for the camera's microphone and speaker volume.
3. Please provide a video showing the audio issue and the camera's MAC address. You can upload the video to your cloud server (such as Google Drive), generate a download link, and send the download link and MAC address to me (@Solla-topee) via private message.
Best regards

@Solla-topee
1. The camera is placed in a bedroom, from what I've tested so far, it doesn't matter where I place it, the screetching sounds and the muffling is still present.
2. The microphone and the speaker are both set to maximum.
3. I've sent you the link and the MAC Address
