Hi,

I recently replaced my old router with the Deco M4 mesh and from that point I could not connect to my corporate VPN. Additionally, I'm getting security error messages the Mobile@Work application in my Phone when connected to the Deco Wifi.

Both are working properly in different network and when replacing back to the old router everything seems to work properly. There is obviously access to the internet from the Deco network and I did not encounter other internet issues.

I tried to follow this guidelines: Troubleshooting VPN Issues on Deco - Home Network Community (tp-link.com) but there is no much information there.

The problem exists from both WiFi and Ethernet connection.

The error message in the GlobalProtect application is "The network connection is unreachable or the portal is unresponsive":

Looking on the log file in GlobalProtect, I see the following errors:

  • Receive gps message with type portal.
  • HandlePortal - portal message with Invalid portal status received. m_nAuthTries = 1
  • ===> response sent to GPI = <response><type>portal</type><state>Disconnected</state><error></error><disabled>no</disabled></response>
  • Portal is not connected and hide the gateway list.

In the phone the Mobile@Work application notify that the connection is not trusted and the detailed error message is "CRL Check Error" with indication that the CRL server for the certificate cannot be reached.

I'm sure that it relates to some security settings but the Deco does not allow me to change any related configurations.

Is anyone have an idea how can I solve that?

Thanks in advance,

Barak

  @BarakC

Hi, welcome to the community.

Have you tried to change the WAN DNS to 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4?

How to change DNS server settings on my Deco

If possible, could you please help test the following settings to help with the GlobalProtect VPN issue:

1. please connect the main Deco M4 behind the old router and set Deco into Access point mode

How to set up Deco to work in Access Point mode

Wait for your reply and best regards.
