Model: Deco X50
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.5.1 build 20240417 rel. 52783

Hi,

firmware 1.5.1 for deco x50 v1 is not working. After installing I cannot connect to internet via laptop. It is getting a dhcp adress, but not going to internet. The main deco is reachable via the app. What can I do?

The firmware is not even available yet on the website?

firmware: 1.5.1 build 20240417 rel. 52783

update: It seems to be a cpu issue. It is constant at 100%. It is in router mode. I cannot rollback the firmware, it tells me to upgrade "to the newest firmware". So rollbacking is not possible with this firmware?

I have found a temporary workaround by using the Deco in AP mode.

how can we get a solution for the 100% cpu issue with this new firmware?

Hi, Thank you very much for your feedback.

Is this laptop the only device that failed to get internet access from Deco?

As for the CPU usage, if you stay on the web interface for about 30-60s, refreshing/reloading this page, will the CPU usage reduce to a certain level?

I noticed you mentioned Deco has been set to AP mode, is the CPU usage still constant at 100%?

By the way, may I know how many Deco units you have in the Mesh system?

How about the total number of online clients?

The 1.5.1 is still in the early stage of firmware release and some users are able to detect this version first.

You can refer to this post for more details- Deco X50/X55_V1_1.5.1 Support WireGuard VPN, Client Speed Limit and Fixed WAN Port

Best regards.

Hello,

No, we have about 10 clients on this small network, all not able to get to the internet. After a Deco reboot it seems to work for like 1-2 minutes, but after that they cannot reach the internet. I think because of the CPU usage spiking to 100%? The weird thing is tho, if I try to ping 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1, that succeeds. But trying to go to a web page on any device does not work. This is for 5ghz and 2,4g (iot).

In router mode the cpu usage is constant at 100%, even after waiting some time. In AP mode the CPU usage seems to be normal, 30-60%, so right now it's in AP mode. We have 3 X50 v1 units in this network.

Hi, I am also experiencing the same behaviour with my X55 units after an auto update early this morning. Tried to upgrade to a previous firmware patch but that fails. Cameron

Hi,

I'm having the same issue, sad but true. Should I do the downgrade, or are you planning to push a firmware update so I can just wait for it without doing the downgrade? When are you planning to push the update?

Thanks, please let me know how I should proceed.

Are you experiencing the same issue as reported in this thread as wesselkoning?

"Zero clients are able to browse the internet, they get IP addresses, show in the client list, just have no access to the internet"

If that is the case, can you please help do a simple ping test and show me the ping results? Thank you very much.

1. Please ping the IP address of the gateway Deco (If it is working in Router mode).

2. Please ping 8.8.8.8 if the gateway ping is accessible.

@WillM1414 Can you please also describe the issue in detail? When all devices go offline and online, how about the LEDs on Decos, are they still solid green?

As per wesselkoning, his Deco should be connected to the internet fine but no devices can get online since they failed to obtain IP addresses from Deco.

Can I know who is your ISP, and is there a hub or router in front of the main Deco? What if you switch the main Deco to AP mode, will it connect to the internet properly?
