Model: Archer AX55
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.1.0 Build 20230128 rel.20162

Hi everyone,

I’m having some trouble with my TP-Link Archer AX55 (US) V2 router, and I hope someone here can help me out.

I’m currently running firmware version 1.1.0 Build 20230128 rel.20162, and I can’t seem to find the bandwidth speed limit option anywhere in the settings. I need to set a bandwidth speed limit on one of the devices connected to my network, but this feature seems to be missing or not accessible in the current firmware.

I’ve gone through the user manual and various online resources, but I haven’t found a solution yet. Has anyone else experienced this issue? If so, how did you resolve it? Is there a specific place I should be looking, or is this feature simply not available in this firmware version?

Here are the details of my setup:

  • Router Model: Archer AX55 (US) V2
  • Firmware Version: 1.1.0 Build 20230128 rel.20162

Any guidance or tips would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance for your help.

Best regards

@Jinthan

I'm excited to inform you that Archer AX55 V2 has a pre-release firmware that supports Speed Limit or the so-called Bandwidth Control now.

Hi,

Unfortunately, the firmware of the Archer AX55 V2 doesn't have the speed limit feature. At present it is not known whether such a feature might be added in the future.

  @woozle

Hi,

Thank you for the quick response and the information.

It’s disappointing to hear that the speed limit feature is not available in the current firmware of the Archer AX55 V2. I hope TP-Link considers adding this functionality in a future update, as it would greatly enhance the router's utility for managing network traffic.

In the meantime, can anyone suggest alternative methods or third-party tools that can help set bandwidth limits for specific devices on my network? Any workaround or solution would be appreciated.

Hi, thanks for posting question here.

Did you check firmware online update on the management page of the router?

Hi, sorry that we confirmed Archer AX55 V2 does not speed limit feature, such as the screenshot below shows:

You may use QoS feature instead.

While we don't have any specific details that I can share around if speed limit feature can come to your home router, or when it might, I'll make sure to log this feature request and pass it along to the team.

I'm moving this conversation into the ‘Feature Request (Routers)' area and tagging it as a ‘Future Consideration'  for better visibility.

Feel free to let us know of any other feature requests you may have, we’d be happy to send them up for you.
