Hi Tplink and all users, I faced intermittent "no WIFI connection" pop up on my TV via network TVbox (Xiaomi Mibox), after 5 sec, it is back to normal, the intermittent issue pops up randomly, sometimes, three occurrence in an hour.

 

I have three Deco X20 and M5 mesh devices connected as access point, here's the configuration

 

#1 - Main Deco X20 (wired located at first floor) connected to my TPLink Archer C5V router via ethernet

 

#2 - Deco M5 , wireless, located at first floor entertainment room (enclosed) with wired to Shield TV box from M5

 

#3- Deco M5, wireless, located at ground floor living hall, where my Xiaomi Mibox.

 

The above "no WIFI connection" happen to the ground floor Mibox, from Deco apps, on Mibox connection preference, I have chosen preferred Deco from GF Deco M5, WIFi band automatic, I have tried to choose 2.4 Ghz or 5Ghz, it still give me the intermittent WIFI connection issue.

 

May I know what's wrong with the mesh network?  Kindly enlighten. Thanks

Could the WIFI connection due to the Mibox side?  

 

I have tried to reboort/restart Mibox, WIFI issue not resolved...

 

Further check on google and saw someone posted on Reddit that the WIFI issue could due to the date/time setting in Mibox and time zone setting

I wish to report, disable automatic date/time setting on Mibox does not resolve WIFI connection issue.

 

I observed from Deco Apps, the WIFI connection from my Mibox  while playing youtube , from 20Mbps drop to "-" then rise , 'WIFI no connection" appears on TV screen.  

 

TP link, may i have your good assistance and support to look into the above mentioned intermittent WIFI connection lost.

Is there any chance that you could connect the GF Deco via an Ethernet cable to the main Deco X20 or First Floor Deco M5?

 

It is also suggested to refer to the following suggestions:

1. Disable "Mesh Technology" for the Mibox on the Deco APP, such as:

2. If possible, it is also suggested to enable the Guest network/5GHz only and connect the Mibox to the guest 5Ghz to see whether it made any difference.

 

By the way, did you have a similar issue on other mobile devices when connecting to the GF Deco M5?

  @David-TP Thanks for your reply. 

 

Distance between Ground Floor Deco M5 and First floor Deco X20 is more than 5m, I don't have ethernet cable for such distance.

 

After disabled Mibox "mesh technology " on Deco Apps , set to 5G connection and GF Deco M5 connection preference.  So far no WIFi connection message popped up during playback YouTube . 

 

But when I stopped playing video, browsing YouTube playlist, do some searching, "WIFI is not connected " and "  No WIFI connection" messages will pop up sometimes. 

 

I don't experience WIFI signal lost when my phone is connected to my GF Deco M5 with same settings on youtube mobile apps.
